18:30: Despite our leaders fears and complaints, we reached the harbor on time. We also got our first experience with Surströmming, a Swedish speciality. You should definitely try it, when you are around here.

23:30: Welcome to Denmark, country of Wind Power (everywhere!!!!). We made it and fulfilled many challenges on the way. Getting a shower for the first time during this trip. Steelhammer is still running like an A.

23:00: Heavy Thunderstorms are making the trip difficult. Giving up 200 km before Kassel, the first target. Found one tiny room at the second rest stop with one bed, and some floor.

09:30: Arriving at Willisau to receive orders for the big adventure.
11:00: Receing first items with delay. Setting up the starting order of the teams
14:30: The adventure begins. Dosimeter reset and map is studied. To the cold north and beyond!

07:00: Getting up WAY TO EARLY to leave the ferry. And Finland is CET+1. Helsinki has to be reached, no highways allowed. It's gonna be fun.

16:00: Welcome to Estonia where the girls are pretty and the roads are shitty. Drivinig around in Estonia on so called "streets". Other teams got stuck or had incidents, the "Steelhammer" is still fighting its way through. Men and machine are reaching slowly its limits.

10:00: Leaving the village where all the teams stayed over night as the last team. One team member is a sleepy head. Small hint, it's the Greek one. 600 km of Baltic countries on our way, we need to get as close to the Polish border as possible

Captain' Log: Open air night

22:30: We made it to Kaunas after a small coffee break in Riga and a small visit of the Hill of Crosses. Tonight, the challenges require us to stay outdoor. We chose the 8th floor of the Radisson Blu in Kaunas which is only one roof away from an open air night.

Dosimeter: 10 microS 08:30: This is going to be the last message for the next two days. We have to reach Orane today in the evening, which is 570 km of 'perfect' streets. Tomorrow is the big day, the NPP of Chernobyl. In the evening we should make it back to Kiev and get back online again. Stay tuned

08:00: We survived the exclusive zone of Chernobyl and Pripyat and received additional 2 microS during our 4 hours stay. Today will be challenging, we need to fix a hole in the exhaust, a damaged damper and a wheel bearing. We hope that we can make it to Ternopil this evening. Stay tuned!
